SUB-TI INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION FOR DIRECTORS 2011 WINNER
Sub-ti is honored to announce the name of the third annual competition winner on Subtitles and International Dialogue
This year’s award went to Maeve Murphy, a well-established film director from Northern Ireland.
Ms. Murphy submitted a short film called SUSHI that was especially relevant to the competition's theme of film subtitling as a means of cross-cultural communication.

Beyond The FIre wins Best International Feature at the Garden State Film Festival. Awarded to Maeve as director and producer.
Beyond The Fire causes controversy when RTE refused to air it saying there was ‘no appetite for the subject matter’. Victims of sexual abuse were furious about this decision. Article in the Irish Independent. TV3 reacted and said they would air the film, further article here.

Beyond The Fire is selected for 8th Annual Garden State Film Festival March 25th-28th 2010.
Maeve to be given certificate of honour by National Survivors Advocate Coalition USA for work in Beyond The Fire that highlights issues of religious sexual abuse.
